(iii) AMO CHUU (CROCODILE BREADING CENTRE)
AMO CHU is the Local name of this CROCODILE BREATHING CENTRE. The Crocodile Breeding Centre is an interesting visit in PHUENTSHOLING. It is arguably the best tourist attraction in the area actually it is found behind a bus station along the banks of a river. The centre was opened in 1976 with only a dozen crocodiles. The centre breeds the animals and takes care of them until they are ready to fend for themselves in their natural habitat.
Today, there are plans to relocate the Crocodile Breeding Centre to a bigger and better location. Today, the center only covers a little over half an acre of land. The centre breeds marsh muggers and gharials (crocodiles) for release in nature reserve. They are fed around the noon time general, if you want to catch a glimpse.

(iv) ZANGTHO PELRI LHAKHANG
ZANGDO PELRI LHAKHANG is built in 1982 at the city centre of PHUENTSHILONG TOWN. This temple
represents the heaven of Guru Rinpoche. On ground floor there are statues of
eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche and paintings on Buddha's life while the
next floor contains eight Bodhisattavas and statues of Avalokiteshvara and
Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. On top floor, there is a main statue of Amitabha.
(v) KARBANDI MONASTERY
KARBANDI MONASTERY is am important tourist attraction in PHUENTSHILONG. This monastery gives the best view of PHUENTSHOLING and offers the beauty of tropical flora & fauna amongst which it is located. This monastery surrounded by beautiful gardens filled with tropical flowers and plants is located a short distance above the town PHUENTSHILONG. It was established in 1967 by the Royal Grandmother, Ashi Phuntsho Choedron. A splendid view of of the town PHUENTSHILONG and the Bengal Plain can be observed from here. After an Indian pilgrim became pregnant after praying at this monastery to conceive, the temple has become a regular port of call for couples wishing for children. For those who do not have parental ambitions, the view from the monastery over hilly area of PHUENTSHILONG and the Bengal Plain is still worth making the trip.

The vast majority of BHUTAN'S energy is provided by hydroelectric power stations. This CHUKHA HYDROTHERMAL PROJECT, or Chukha Hydel, was BHUTAN'S first mega power project. Its construction started in the 1970s, it was commissioned in 1986, and BHUTAN assumed full control in 1991. During the summer, the plant generates 336 MW from four turbines off the flow of the Wangchhu river in the central of CHUKHA DISTRICT, between THIMPHU and PHUENTSHOLING.
This project is in BHUTAN and is constructed under Indo-Bhutan treaty under Indian Aid. The objective of this project is to produce.
